OCR Capture & Indexing Automation

AutoCapture is an optional Advent eDocs feature designed to automate document capture and indexing using OCR-based technologies. It supports zone-based OCR, barcode recognition, and database lookups to extract information from documents and apply it to index fields automatically.

By identifying predefined zones or barcodes on incoming documents, AutoCapture can reduce the need for manual data entry during document ingestion. In addition, database lookups can be used to populate or validate index information against existing data sources. 

 

AutoCapture is intended to help organizations improve consistency and efficiency during document capture, particularly in environments where document formats and data locations are well defined.
